My Philosophy

Your wedding day is one of your life's greatest moments and planning is a crucial element to making this day the one you've been dreaming of! My goal as a wedding photographer is to make this aspect of your planning process as simple as possible. Photography is more than just images, they are memories you will hold on to for a lifetime. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. Your wedding day is an experience from beginning to end and your photography is a huge part of that experience! I believe taking your photos should be fun, enjoyable and natural! My goal is not only to capture your memories, but to add them with an experience you will never forget!

The Process

To ensure that my brides and grooms enjoy the BEST photographic experience possible, I believe it is essential to form a relationship with my couples. A bride and groom should connect with their photographer and be EXCITED about the entire process before booking! After booking, I love getting to know my clients through an ENGAGEMENT SESSION that will help them warm up to the camera. When the wedding day arrives, my clients feel more like friends, which creates a safe and relaxed environment for photography! Now that you know a little bit about my approach to the wedding day, you can continue reading to find out more detailed information about THE WEDDING EXPERIENCE!

Details Matter

Consider having matching robes or shirts. Not only will these make cute photos, but it will add a more personalized touch to your collection. During this time, I will focus on capturing your wedding details as well as the getting ready photos. To make this stress free, I always ask the planner to keep everything together and organized in a clutter free space. Here are some examples of what to include in your wedding details:

  • Your gown of course!

  • Veil

  • Shoes

  • Garter

  • Jewelry

  • Perfume

  • All 3 Rings

  • Invitation Suite

  • Bouquets

  • Boutonnieres

  • Loose florals

  • Bridesmaid Dresses

Traditional Timeline or First Look

The most traditional time line consists of you and the girls getting ready in one place and your groom and his guys getting ready some where else. Every bride dreams of a priceless reaction from the groom as she walks down the aisle.

Or you could opt to do a First Look.

I would schedule your first look 1-2 hours prior to your ceremony. This will happen after your makeup and hair are finished.

I will have your fiancé waiting for you in a beautiful setting. When the moment comes, I will ask you to tap him on the shoulder. As he turns around, I will be able to capture the full emotion between the two of you. The first look will allow at least 30 minutes for portraits. This will also give you a chance to get away from the crowd and share some precious moments together.

The wedding party photos will happen right after the first look. This will allow 30 minutes to capture these fun-filled photos. These photos will consist of you and your bridesmaids or groomsmen, a combination of the bridal party. We can do it all!

Coordination

I cannot stress enough the importance of hiring a wedding planner or a day of coordinator for your wedding. Without a coordinator, the stress of following the timeline will fall on the bride or the photographer. As a photographer, it is difficult to capture gorgeous photos and coordinate at the same time. I want your wedding day to go as smooth as possible!

Family List

A few  weeks before the wedding, you’ll receive a questionnaire from me that will ask you to list out the family formals you want us to capture.  We do have to limit the family formal time in order to ensure that we have plenty of daylight for your romantic portraits. However, any large family group shots that we don’t accomplish during family formals, we can be sure to capture at the reception!

Just Married

Out of all of your wedding photos capture your bride & groom portraits are your most cherished. These are the photos you will hang on your wall, give to parents, and look back on. Making time for these photos should be a priority in your timeline. These are portraits that will capture the love you have for each other. After the ceremony the "Golden Hour" sunlight creates more romantics portraits. If you chose not to do a first look we will schedule ample amount of time after the ceremony to create these breathtaking photos!

Gallery

Years ago you had to order prints of the images that you wanted to have forever.  I want you to have ALL of your memories in your possession forever and ever!  I also want you to share your images freely and without any hesitation.  This is why I deliver your images via an online gallery!  I’ve listed some important information that will help you understand your online gallery!

DOWNLOADING PHOTOS: You will be able to download your edited images directly from your online gallery and they will be high resolution! This process is very simple! All you have to do is click the “downwards arrow icon” and you will be prompted to enter your name and email. Once you enter your email, and pin number you will be asked if you want to download just that one photo or if you would like to download all photos! Your photos will download directly to your “Downloads” folder.  If you opt to download the entire gallery, you will  be notified via email when your entire download is ready.  It takes a few minutes to prepare for hundreds of images to be downloaded!

ORDERING PRINTS: You can actually order professional and affordable prints from within your online gallery. Prints are printed in a professional lab to ensure color and contrast accuracy! You are more than welcome to print images on your own. However, I would warn you to avoid Walmart, Walgreens, etc. I cannot promise that your colors will print true-to-life if you choose to print at those stores.  If you don’t print through your gallery, I recommend using Mpix.com.

GALLERY EXPIRATION: You only have 60 days before your gallery expires.  However, I would still recommend downloading them and saving them in multiple places for safe keeping!

THANK YOU

Last, but certainly not least, THANK YOU for trusting me with your special day.  I am so honored to be the one capturing  your memories and I cannot WAIT to celebrate alongside of you! Enjoy this season of planning but also remember that your MARRIAGE is more important than the wedding. The wedding will come and go in a matter of hours but your marriage needs to stand the test of time.  Continue to make time for one another, even with all that needs to get done.  As you continue to plan, please feel free to contact me with ANY questions you may have along the way!   Also, a few weeks before the wedding, you’ll receive an online questionnaire that will provide me with everything  I need to know for your big day!! I hope this guide has been helpful as you continue to plan and prepare for your wedding day!
